Tour de lingerie ladies snap up scenes of Tour de Yorkshire ahead of Tour de France

The ladies section of the Cappuccino Cycling Club from Harrogate have been photographed at over a dozen locations on the Tour de France cycle route wearing spectacular lingerie supplied by the Queen’s underwear supplier Rigby & Peller.

Sue, who poses for the month of September, says “We are all keen cyclists and used to a challenge but this was something new. Swopping Lycra for lace left us feeling exposed even before the cameras arrived! Like cycling the experience has had its ups and downs but we supported each other with humour and encouragement, like we do on our rides. We have welcomed the opportunity to raise money for the air ambulance, a charity we rely on to be there at any time. It has been a once in a lifetime experience and a very different way to celebrate the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire.”

There are fourteen photographic locations in the calendar ranging from Sheffield to York and include a brewery in Masham and a bathroom in Britain’s most romantic hotel in Bainbridge. Each month of the year features a landmark on the route of the July cycle race.

The ladies were photographed by BAFTA winning film maker Paul Berriff and former London and New York top fashion photographer Michael Dunne. Berriff was surprised with the first phone call he made to the cycling club.

Donations from the sale of the calendar will be made to the air ambulance charities.
