bookies here have trump as overwhelming favourite as prez and Harris as overwhelming favourite for the popular vote.

Bookies always know best.

Team Harris was counting on crucial swing state North Carolina to win, and lost.  Don't know why I thought that all those ex Republican governors publicly saying they're voting for Harris, and 40/44 of Trump's most senior appointees and generals saying they're voting for Harris, and EVERY former National Security Advisor warning against Trump would hold sway with the average US voter.  Perhaps DJR knows better with that "funny lot the Americans" quip.

Would hardly be the first time I was wrong.  I think I can hear the long distant ex in-laws shouting that they'd like a word.

Bookies now have Trump at 1/55 and Harris at 16/1.

bookies were wrong on the popular vote by the looks of it. Interesting that Trump polled as much as he did thus far. Maybe America is not ready for a woman president.

a little way to go still. But looking like the Red Sea is taking over all bastions of American politics.
