100 percent. Was thinking that during the fight. Tyson looked punch drunk and wobbly early on. Thought Jake Paul gonna look a plonker either way.

but they both made bank.

Tyson looked like he was laboring on that knee of his too.

I missed the first 2 rounds as I wasn’t going to watch but got up early and just checked and it was the start of round number 3. Tyson looked shaky then already. If the rounds were 3 minutes I think he would have buckled. Bit of a farce really.

tv buffered once or twice so switched to iPad and it was perfect. Was hoping for the old man, like just one more hurrah for us oldies everywhere but alas.

Tyson making excuses here, I think.

“I almost died in June,” wrote Tyson in a post on X.

He continued, “Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.”

That's 5 months before the fight.  The reason I think it's a fake excuse is I once walked (very weakly) into hospital on a Friday evening having lost two-thirds.  Haemoglobin was measured at 4.8 as compared to the usual 14 - 17 for males.  Venofer infusion and several blood units were administered.  I was back at work the Monday morning as my colleagues were fully booked and unable to take over my 7 hours of lectures per day.  It took a few weeks to get back to decent strength, not 5 months.  I was almost 50 at the time so not much difference in age with Tyson.

That's the reasoning behind why I think he's making a flou excuse, I think it has more to do with the weed Tyson smokes throughout the day.  He's reportedly a beast at smoking weed.

Remember standing and delivering 7 hours of lecturing is far less demanding than doing 7hrs of physically demanding training. Assume he looses at least one month of decent training, and this leaves him with 4 months of training time, and a body that has deteriorated beyond where it would have been starting 5 months ago.

Then he goes and pushes hard to make up lost time, being a little older he does not recover as well and then the quality of training suffers again. And his body more so, and injuries occur.

Did you note how he struggled with his one leg and how this effected his movement.

Thanks bruh, all valid.  First off, standing and delivering like some of those lame-ass, half-dead, with their disinterested waffling varsity lecturers we had in our youth ain't the nature of my lecturing.  It's a bit closer to the extreme sport nature of lecturing 😂, if I was to exaggerate.

Some students might say we leaned near the mal energy side of the lecture spectrum.  Nah, but it also included the physicality of high angle rescues always with the heaviest bodies and using jaws of life to pry open trucks and stormy sea surface and air stuff and fannying about on mountains type of training.  Have I come across as defensive enough yet?

Have to agree with you that he definitely started with a deficit after his setback.  I just think that if he had 4 months, or even 3, to prep that that time is well sufficient.  I can only be guessing, at best, as this palooka is not currently in the queue to get in the ring with Tyson, neither Mike nor Fury.

Snoop Dogg once said Tyson had him going "bro', time for a break".  Even if he refrains while in training, it must take a h e a v y toll on the lungs I imagine.

A non-smoker like me?  I think I would just die 😂

He's had some other hobbies...

Flip sorry man, I incorrectly assumed you were doing the standing or seated talking kind of lecturing, not the crazy bata$$ **** kind of lecturing.
