But surely once the gravel settles the straps will become lose.

 

No Dude , there is always a force pushing the side doors out , the more the sand settles the more it will want to bend the doors open , the simple solution is fit more hinges , then you wont need straps.

Something to consider taking up in our spare time, off the bike...

as a archer myself, this picture was very dear to me... untill i saw that gravity is taking hold of that left, false eye lash.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

 

He may as well have said "if it looks like a pigeon and it coo'ed like a pigeon...' because associations for duck go along the lines of lame duck and sitting duck, all are victim-type descriptions, definately not dangerous nuclear duck! Why not use something fearsome in true crowd pleasing rhetoric style, instead of just a duck.

Well, the duck has Wikipedia cred. I personally would have used rabbits. Fearsome creatures, rabbits.
