So concerning surfing those waves, and the issue of bravery vs stupidity, is it at all possible to ride something like that out? And not get pulled into the wave? Because it seems like all they manage to do is stay at the bottom for a while, instead of getting some sideways speed to stay out of the thunder that is a couple of tons of crushing angry water...

 

And, seeing as how all the guys in that video top over at some point, what are your odds when going into all that...crush? I assume you can't get out for a while, but what's the rest of the story?

 

My balls are doing some serious self evaluation at the moment :-/

It is a short ride over a reef or the like.that is why the guys can pull out to the side.

If that thing closed out over the beach it would be unridable
