Hi all, I got a puncture but I do have slime(stan) in , it works great but think most of it has been used up or is old.

Now i try to fill it up, but what a mission !. I have a tubeless conversion and I can't get the tire to seal while pumping it up. Of course I need a Air Compressor that can do it "fast" enough, but alas don't have one. Any tricks or ideas ?

Go to a 'Gallage'. But DIY, you ain't putting petrol.

The attendants get a bit P'd off when their uniforms get covered in slime. :D

Ahh okey :) Does it work ? lol not that I doubt you, more like my holding-tire-inplace-inflate-with-co2-at-same-time capability :D

Co2 boms works fine, did take it in ones to be done with a compressor but when i got home it was flat, so just did with a bom and some soapy liquid

It also helps to remove the valve core; gets more air into the tire quicker. Screw the core back in quickly and re-inflate. This even sometimes work with a floor pump, depending on the brand of tire.

Rather inflate with a compressor at the garage than a bomb, because the gas could cause some sealants (like Stans) to clogg-up. Bombs are for emergency road side repairs and not for home maintenance.

I usually take mine to the garage to do, its never failed, even with non-tubeless rims with non-ust racing ralphs with only a tape conversion on the wheels :) but I've also succeeded at home with a floor pump with ust tyres.

A very handy trick is the soap suds. I usually put a small amount of sunlight and water in a energade bottle and shake it so it fills with foam, I then pop open the cap, hold the bottle upright and squeeze a bit of foam out onto the bead of the tyre.
