The new Supersix Evo 2012. They say 695g but they are showing 650g on the scale. Complete bike is 4.95kg.

I still cannot understand why these guys go to so much trouble to make bikes and parts lighter when the UCI minimum weight is 6.8km.

Unless you are only training on this bike, it cannot be used in races.

They make great Weight Weenie Project Bikes!

Boasting rights @ the coffee stop etc.

I suppose it also gives the guys limited by UCI rules scope to use power meters etc and 'normal' parts and still be on edge.

I assume Liquigas will be riding these @ the Giro.

The price must be eye watering!

What will eventually happen is, all the manufacturers will make 600 gram frames and then prove they are safe and strong and slowly UCI will review there low weight restrictions. In the meantime it allows pro's to put heavy power meters etc. on there bikes and still be 6.8kg.

The same reason they make cars that can drive faster then the speed limit.

Nibali was riding this bike at Liege-B-Liege.

First time I saw pictures of it was at a training ride in February the Liquigas did.

Not ugly!!

They are dropping the hourglass seat stays. They are thinner. The chain stays are flat like the CAAD 10 and Flash bikes.

Head tube is a LOT thinner than the current bikes.

Internal cable routing for the breaks but not the gears....mmm....

BB not as bulky as the current SS.

maybe its 695 including headset?

If I read right, the 650g will be the "Ultimate" frame.....the 695 for the normal stock (painted) frames.

Sounds like the black "Ultimate" frame is not a production unit as yet....

 <_<
