Must admit - I don't like the look of long white socks on a cyclist either - it just looks wrong, whether a mullet or age is at stake - just plain uglyExclamation

anybody aware of a good reason why cyclists socks are creaping closer to the knees - maybe we could market those sort of leg warmer things we saw in that movie most of us wont admit watching - flashdance LOLLOLLOLLOL
..I will never forget about 25 years back when I was graced with being allowed to ride with "manne" on the Lido loop and I had a pair of socks that were a touch too long!! They caught

the eye of a certain Mr.Impey's and a certain Towbar Thompson. Mr. Impey let fire and I quote "If you want to play fu^&&ing tennis ...sell your bicycle!!!"

Needless to say they were never to be seen again!!

Spinnekop - You should come ride with us funriders some time.  Maybe you can teach us something about fashion and we can teach you something about racingBig%20smile

I didn't call anyone a funrider, but hey if the shoe fits....

By the way, I know a 51 year old lady who could teach most of you a thing or two about style and racing...haha....

Jeremy Martins (CSC) normally wears his sox very high.

And you not a top Jnr Rider in Gauteng if you wear short sox.LOLLOLLOLLOL Oh and long sox must be worn with your addidas slops at prize giving.

But it can't only be nerds and dorks who ride bicycles. Have you ever seen how "dof" it looks at the prize givings etc.

For a sport that is so obsessed with bling, style and image on the bikes (I laaik it a lo as well LOL), I find it so amazing how little style is shown at the prize givingsLOL

No, never slip slops!!! Rule 12 of the "Official Rules of the Euro Cyclist" states:

12. All podium shots (pictures) shall be taken with the euro-rider wearing team kit and appropriately matching casual euro shoes (such as puma's). Socks shall remain within the guidelines above. The rider is expected to display an appropriate degree of bulge while receiving kisses/trophy.
