wow a shock for a road bike. Amazing. No wonder they make road frames so light, so that they can get a shock on the bike under 8kgs.

Maybe Hincapie (or another American) will use it on the Paris - Roubaix

Well Emily Batty won the Sea Otter while riding the SID 29er for the 1st time

To the purists the winning ways of the 29er cannot be attributed to anything other than cosmic luck or probably a conspiracy by manufacturers to promote 29ers and Ill give them the 29er is not finding the traction the manufacturers hoped. Now we have the European manufacturers onboard with 29ers...

The last dying screams of the 26er brigade may well be etched on the walls of thehub, so one day you may point you child at this forums archives and show him what a 26er looked like

If you have to upgrade your cellphone today ( upgrade being the operative word) and you are offered a 3 g or 4 g phone. What choice do you make? This is the dilemma facing new entrants to the MTB world. They don't follow HUB arguments but are guided by sales assistants in bike shops. This is what will drive 29 er sales. I have a 26" hardball and a 29 er softtail. Probably the 2 extremes and I love them both. New is not bad, it just sometimes threatens the status quo that we are comfortable with. Both get the job done but neither is the ultimate or only solution to the problem. This will not be the last change on the MTB scene. Long live the evolution of this most wonderful of passions/sports/ obsessions that Is Mountainbiking!

Well said sir!

I see Kulhavy finally conquered the last bastion of 26erdom by winning the Dalby Forest XCO on his 29er dually.
