I took this picture(HDR) of Kalk Bay a while back...

You got so many things just right in this photo that it is truly impressive.

I go to Kalk Bay very often and I've seen it in all sorts of bad moods but never as beautiful as this.

Nice work.

Thanks. It takes a lot of patience and sometimes many visits to the same place to get the right conditions. I use the free desktop tool from http://photoephemeris.com/ to plan most of my early morning / late evening shots. A great tool for landscape photography.

Marsbeetle, that Kalk Bay landscape gets my vote for picture of the day.

Sorry Gummi, yours are just too bloody tidy (no litter, no Bergies) and they make me jealous, but they're a close second.

Nice. The clouds and grey weather give it a vintage look. May be a good candidate for black and white too..

Ohh!! Nice, thanks beetle!

Would've loved to take some more shots but time was a bit limited, Geece how does the hdr work, do you take the same shot at different exposures and then 'overlay' they? Does this then add more detail and depth to the pic? Anyone have an example?
