Did the 1st event, was a really good race! Well organized and great course! Some of the fastest singletrack I've done in a race!!! Well worth it!

its quick with only 1 climb that's fairly gradual. 2 Loops of 30km which are over before you know it. Really good single track. Only really got caught up with the 30km riders at the end of the second loop so they weren't really a factor, and those we did pass were courteous enough to give us track.

Might not be everyone's cup of tea as its fast and reasonably flat, but a really fun day out.

Thanks. I will probably head out there as fast and flat is my weakness. I try to ride hills as much as I can in training so these type of races are ideal for working on my weakness.

Forescast states that minimum and maximums will be about the same as today.

Early morning is always cold, especially next to the dam.

Ist time I've done this race.

Although there were very few climbs of note (521m of ascent in 58.9k's), some of that single track through those forests was awesome.

Took some strain on the second lap which is purely a fitness issue but it was the perfect race for a rigid single speed.

Any race is perfect for a rigid SS.
