You know, to a certain degree this can be a usefull place. I have bought and sold some cycling stuff. Even got some good advice here and there. Got to share my experiences even...

But what gets to me is the farking spelling police. A guy goes out and makes some good points and some dofkop comes along and gets an erection cause he notices a spelling mistake! And he can't wait to point it out.

And then like today you post a topic and some frikken nobody comes along and sidetracks the whole damn thing with a personal insult.

Why do we do this?

(R100 says someone can't wait to comment on this post saying: Then if you don't like it why don't you leave? Or simmilar)

Even willing to bet someone, right now, is looking for a spelling mistake and can't wait to point it out...

*sigh*

It's similar. laugh.gif. Lighten up man, TheHub is like real life, full of interesting people, some you'll like, others not so much. But I spose everyone has the right to get the moer in every now and then...

Since you raised it, spelling doesn't bother me.. but there is a line, upon the other side of which lies a level of ignorance that should not be flaunted.

For example: When people start new threads and there are basic typos and spelling mistakes in the thread title. And the thread is a request for help or advice on said mis-spelled word.

Come on people! If you're starting a topic about something you can't spell, use a spell checker.

If you're requesting advice from professionals about something they may have devoted a lifetime of hard work to, then have the courtesy to spell the topic correctly. If you're too busy to do that then don't expect meaningful assistance.

Another one:

When someone posts a link and comments on the content thereof, and some kippie replies with "well I haven't checked out your link, please tell me what it says at the other end, and in the meantime, here's my basically ignorant opinion on what I think you're talking about"

Somebody send these people a copy of the internet manual.
