Enve road wheels

Here is a fun website to play around on if you have a wheel fetish: Wheelbuilder.com

How about something along the lines of: Chris King R45's with Enve (or Reynolds ?) 65mm rims with DT Aerolite spokes ?

Using campag group, so R45's won't work. Any other suggestions concerning hubs?

Nope, but I'd like to be. If you put Enve wheels on yours and bring it anywhere near me I won't be able to restrain myself, you'll have to mace me or something. drool.gif

Anybody else agree with the statement on the hubs? The spokes are Sapim and the holes are not drilled, but are moulded as part of the manufacturing process. Enve claims this makes for a stronger rim

Either build the wheels up with some Campy hubs or understand that the seals on the DT hubs might not be so great and need to be checked more regularly than other hubs.

I dont know anything about DT, so cant really comment.

Do some searches and see what the rest of the world thinks.

Nice one, lace them up to some Chris King hubs if you can, you won't be sorry.

You can buy Enve rims and build with any hubs you like.

Another thing to look out for is the freehub body. If it is made from aluminium, it may get damaged if you use a Shimano or SRAM cassette. I have had this on a Zipp disk.

I have seen that happen a few times 240 freehub.

I got me a set of these yesterday, weighing in at 1440 grams, full carbon clinchers with titanium skewers and brake pads, got it at a special price but they retail for around R9500

Just buy Campy wheels. Sorted!

Agree, campy wheels are good, but they are tubbies. Want clinchers

As far as i know they are launching deep sections clinchers sometime soon.

Yes they are launching an alu clincher wheel, but it is heavier and has less spokes. Enve 65 available in 24/28 spokes, which makes a more durable wheel set which I need

American Classic has actually stopped making Shimano alu bodies because of this.
