Well then I have to add half the bikeshops in Jhb on the list of shops with poor customer service' date=' especially on Saturdays, as there are many bikeshops where you have to go to the counter to ask for something if you want it.

It is a Lame argument!!!!

was that directed at me?

The Bikeshop part, Partly Yep

The Lame Argument part, Nope

well, when you answer in English whereas that other dude (what's his name) wrote in Afrikaans I wasn't sure.

Nevertheless, I think my point was clear and understandable and I'd ask you to stay kind in the discussion!

The dude makes his point, so do you. Different view points on a not-worldchanging matter? Accepted! Now go and have tea with the one or other piece of cake!

Was it really bad service, or did you just have a bad day?

I can badmouth half the bikeshops in Jhb and some in Pta if I wanted to, but am I being totally honest about it?

Is it just my perception?

Did I ask for assistance?

Was I just pissed off because i didn't get laid, and now I feel like I'm being ignored in the shop as well?

Crux, if you are used to being ignored by a shop, ANY SHOP, thats your problem, not mine. I come from an industry where customer service is paramount, (the Casino industry) so don't come and and talk about perceived levels of service, etc. I know all about demanding customers, dealt with them on a daily basis for many years.

If three staff members are busy chatting to a customer, even if they are busy selling him the earth, moon and stars, at least one of them (the one who noticed the next customer standing at THE SALES COUNTER) can acknowledge the customer, wave at him, show him to wait, DO SOMETHING, do not just ignore him. It is not the customer's RESPONSIBILITY to attract the SALESPERSON'S attention "hey dude, I want to buy something from you, can you PLEASE come and take my money" Thats bollocks, and you know it.

I have never bought a single item from Cycle Lab, yet everytime I walk in there, no matter how busy they are, a salesperson will come past, acknowledge me and say they will be with me soon, and carry on serving the other customer. Even if I did not buy a thing, I GOT SOME KIND OF SERVICE FROM THEM.

Read the heading of my post, it says Poor Customer SERVICE, and like I said before, not giving a service when you are there to do it, and also able to give service, is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Finish and Klaar, you cannot argue it away.
