How long do you want the string to be?

If the worm to change starts turning NOTHING will stop you and you will justify the new shoes even by posting on the Hub.

When they're @#$!ed.

I bought a pair of Answer Accelerators (MTB) in 1996 which lasted me until 2008, at which point the rubber on the soles literally was ripped to pieces. Come to think of it, I could probably still use them, they're structurally fine...

Honestly though, replacing *road* shoes every 2 years is just silly.

Hmmm, how long is a piece of string again?

I'm on my 3rd pair in 19 years of cycling.

If stiffness is still good, keep 'em.

If bridge support is still fine, keep 'em.

If they do not match your bike frame or kit anymore, shelf 'em...
