After spending quite a bit of time this past weekend training with a Duathlon legend that works for you, I'll be using 32GI exclusively over the next couple of months till 70.3 !

Have to admit that 32gi is the most unbelivable stuff i have ever used. I normally would bonk in a 50-60km mtb ride no matter what i tried. Did the w2w theis weekend i rode 6hrs day 1 5 15 day 2 and 5 30 day 3 felt strong right to the end. All i had on the rides what 32gi i didnt eat a thing. My mates couldnt believe it. I dont know what the hell gave me so much energy for so long but it was incredible.

Thanks Stevie, I also believe in 32gi. Lots of people started saying negative stuff about 32GI.

Mark, shot for the neutral samples!

 

Gave one to my buddy, he tried 32gi very happily twice already. He is also really amped to try the neutral flavour.

 

I will give this neutral flavour a go on saturday, but I am sure I will like it.

 

By the way, how soon are you planning on releasing this flavour?

Should be end of this month I hope, the product is ready the packaging is not ready yet, but soon soon soon.

Hey MDW, somewhere in these last 34 pages, you mentioned a low GI bar called REDS (I think) I had planned on a 32 GI ride - juice and chews but where would I get some of these bars for that just in case case where my will power or leg power breaks down?

They have a website and I know some shops stock them not sure where exactly. If you dont come right come and buy so chews at the EXPO, ;-)

I have been reading a few threads on this subject but there is so many conflicting views and ways of using it that I am confused.

 

I usually ride with Cytomax and GU's. I decided to try G32 with GU and had an uneventful ride as it was not too hard or long but I would not say that either product was better than the other.

 

I then read that you don't use GU with 32!! I tried this and I felt very flat throughout the ride.

 

I also read that you only take GU the last hour with 32. I tried this and nothing kicked in!!

 

Yesterday I went back to Cyto and GU and felt great throughout the 3 hour ride!!

 

In mitigation, when I used 32 I also had Future Life as a pre-ride meal whereas when I use Cyto -I use my tried and tested Low GI toast with Peanut butter and honey.

 

It appears obvious that Cyto is the way to go for me but I am always willing to try new things and perhaps if I used 32 in the right way it could be of greater benefit to me?

 

You may have a 'distorted' view of Gi32 - It isn't just a drink but a lifestyle supplement.

 

Ask yourself the following questions:

What did you eat before your ride?

If it was an early morning ride, what did you eat for breakfast?

What did you eat the night before?

 

You cannot base you findings on one ride with the wrong nutrition. Be that as it may, if cyto works for your diet, then good for you.

 

The ideal for 32Gi is a low Gi diet (not diet as in weight loss but eating lifestyle). Sucrose spikes your sugar levels (e.g GU) which is alright for a short ride, but as soon as you do longer rides you need to keep up the high sugar content GU's not to let the levels drop and make you feel lethargic.

 

I am no pro but I hope I helped a bit. I have found 32Gi to be great for me - I used to use game and GU sachets but have found 32Gi to be a great alternative.
