My mate has a whole NRS3 frame (newly painted by Cycle Art) with rear shock, front Judy, Formula B4 brakes, crank, bars and stem for 2,5k.. PM me for his details if you are interested...

SURFER Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I have a Rox shock RT3. Experienced no damping a while ago. Shock was repaired, but after 3 rides I noticed oil on the “shaft”. Does this mean that a seal needs replacing?
nickelass Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 since this seems to be the topic for rear shocks service I have recently rquired a AM BIKE WITH A fox DHX 4,O shock.I know it needs a service,its leaking oil and has no rebound,also seems to be leaking air from the boost valve and I suspect for a rebuild as it may need,it will be expensive.considering as an alternative,may be better to switch to a coil shock of a reasonable performance,the shock does seem to have mixed reviews on its relability.Any first hand advice on this would be appreciated,also if I did send it to be serviced,in the durban area who could do it and any rough guide to the cost?

Rydogg Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Servicing it will always be cheaper. (+/- R500?) You can even do it yourself. If you send it to the agents, they will tell you if it's worth servicing or not. A LBS might not tell you that.
