Ag no man all these sad damaged woofs. Having a chat last night with my Aunt about her Aussie shepherd who is epileptic - he fitted so badly they had to anesthetize him for 2 days and sadly if it happens that badly again she would be best set to have him put to sleep...

She is currently looking in depth about developments and relation to diet etc but ja these pics are making me sad :(

On a positive Red Cat is recovering from the infection and almost back to normal. Even trying to eat her pellets and not waging war when she needs her tablets. Check up tomorrow for the infection but still no word on the pathology of the tumor yet.

Popped in at home to check on Squamish before a hospital visit yesterday, and he was fine. Ran errands and crap the whole afternoon, and got home to find that he had managed to chew - cone and all - right through his splint and destroy the bathroom during the afternoon. He looked quite proud of his work. Made a makeshift splint, and strapped him up as best I good, and dosed him a little bit more than recommended...

Glad to hear she's improving some. I don't what they given me for Squamish, but it must be good. Don't even need to hide his meds in anything, he takes them willingly.

Ag, no, both legs! Looks a tad embarrassed by it all...

Shame, I agree she looks rather sheepish!

Boerboels seem to like eating small dogs for sport.

Traipsing from one patient to another...that's my afternoons these days  Squams is doing well, but seems to have quickly built up an immunity to the sedating meds. I don't have a bathroom anymore. He's going back to the vet for his first dressing change today.

I did manage to get out and bag a sunset with Ghost yesterday. He went for a nice run but then he got distracted by the bullfrogs that have emerged in the vlei...

If any ever asks me again what colour Ghost is, I am going to reply "matt". His fur is constantly matted despite being brushed every second day...

The latest additions to our family. Gatsby and Daisy are 10 month old Labradors who are brother and sister. They are rescue dogs from Project Dog.

Found out when we got them home that they like to sleep during the day and exercise at night. Particularly between the hours of 1am and 4am..... Daisy has an issue with monkeys as well which resulted in the installation of pet control fencing around the perimeter of my property to keep her in. She had no issues jumping a 1,6m boundary wall. My garden is a distant memory.... The vegetable planters seemed like a good place to spend the evenings....

That after I spent a Saturday constructing a dog house for the two of them measuring 1200x900! My wife suggested painting everything in the garden with the same polyurethane varnish that I painted the dog box with as they haven't gone anywhere near it since it was completed...!!!
