All this lapping....you do realize you are talking about your mom and son and not your dogs!

My son is house-trained...as far as I know...

Last weekend we went to wedding in Nelspruit, and the doggies have come to realise that if we start packing bags, we go away.

So as we packed, Ellie decided to climb in my wife's bag and proceeded to unpack it :)

This was a very brave lad when he got his stitches out on Friday! Had a good laugh with the vet, because she thought it was a better idea to take his stitches out in the waiting room, as Squams seems a bit nervous of the consulting room...worried that he may have another lengthy stay there! That's how she knew he would adapt quickly to the amputation. She said he was great to have around and behaved himself, but she could tell he didn't like being couped up and he'd make up for it when he got out!

It is with absolute heartbreak & sadness that I am posting this. We moved last wkd in to a townhouse from a house with a large garden (long story dispute with owner was given a weeks notice) we feel we need to re home our 5'yearold Saint Bernard as there is literally no garden to speak of and it is unfair to her . And at this point that is our only concern.

she is completely house trained including sleeping on the couch given half a chance and is a huge softy. We have had her since she was just over a year old and got her as a rescue dog. She had many issue's but has outgrown most of them. She is very lovable and not a guard dog, although her size scares people ????.

Our 8 year old daughter is gutted with the decision we have had to make, but understands that we have to do what's best for ruby.

We are prepared to pay for her as long as she goes to a good home .

If anybody knows of somebody please contact me directly So we can chat . And I can tell you more about her likes & dislikes.

The last pic is off ruby sleeping this morning when I was leaving .

Thought this would be the best place to find the perfect home for ruby.

Nooooooo, Pikey! I am not going to be able to look at this thread for a while...I would so love to take Ruby, but I don't think it's so wise right now.

Can I share her pics and details elsewhere?

Quick question though...

How is Ruby with other dogs?

sorry tumbleweed, thought it was the only place i trusted to put up this . Please do I don't have Facebook ???? etc.

She is surprisingly ok, but ruby was rescued from a house that a dominant male that used to bully her. She is fairly submissive.

My sister in law lived with us for a while when she was relocating and has 2 jack Russell's. She wasn't phased by them at all, even though the male wanted to always dominate the situation . She never bothered unless he snapped at her then rubes would just warn him of ???? he usual scampered.

Don't think she has an aggressive bone in her body.

Cool. I will do.

She really is beautiful! I am sure we'll find her a good home.

One thing I must add we have a 8 year old daughter and a nearly 4 yr old son. She seems to bark at our kids friends when they visit not an aggressive bark but one that makes me keep an eye on them until she settles down.

When our son was born she would not come near him for the 1st 6 months. She is now perfectly fine with both of them, but I have a suspicion the previous people let there children bully her.

She loves going for walks and walks very well, even of the lead she is very good.

She needs to be part of a a loving family. She is so dependent on that.

Oh and she is so scared of balls, our son is banned from playing near her with any type of ball. She just runs and hides.

    OH NOOOOOO!!!!

Of ALL the dogs in the world.....it had to be a St Bernard. The one dog you are desperate for Tumbles

But no - you cant have her, especially not if you are thinking of moving away.

I love Ruby - she is absolutely gorgeous

Pikey are you sure she wouldn't be ok staying in the smaller garden? I don't think they're particularly active dogs are they? Maybe you could walk her everyday for a bit of exercise? Its heartbreaking to think of her missing her family.
