my highlites have never stopped just when i get on my bike its a highlight .!!!

 

my ones that stand out would be the Shova meeting alot of hubbers in Durbs and putting a face to my friends. 

on workers day 1 may 2007 i taught my son Leon who is 12 to ride his bike properly .

Cycling related highs...

 

Following a training program for the first time and being fitter than I've ever been

 

For the first time riding my bike until I nearly puked....looking forward to the day when I DO actually puke from riding so hard. Sounds sick, but I think it requires a certain level of commitment to push that hard and I don't have it in me yet

 

Experienced the happiest, most joyful moment of my life(EVER) this year and it was because of a bikeride

 

A good year then....amped for '08

Highs:

Getting 3 real bikes this year! (only been spinning in the gym till then)

2 Top 10 finishes in the mtb short distance events

Amashova - doing it for the 1st time

Learning to "bunch" ride

Getting to know the good bike shops

 

Lows:

Fall at cradle-to-cave

Cramp at Magalies monster

Puncture @start of magalies monster

Missing a race or two due to illness

On the bike highlights:

1.  Panorama - tough, but I finished it

2.  Tshwane Mayoral Ride - my best ride EVER

3.  Lost City - Sub 3, at long last

4.  94.7 - dropped nearly 50 minutes off my time!!!

 

Lowlights:

1.  A friend coming down in the R4V.  Fortunately not a bad fall, but still shook me.

2.  Not breaking 3 hours in 94!

 

Personal:

1.  Met and made some more GREAT friends through the Hub and strenghend my friendships.

2.  Asso!

 

AND THE BEST:

Baby ewep was born on 14 December 2006.  What a blessing!!!!  And spidey knows, I cornered him with my verbal diarrea about her!

 I started cycling in August and did my first race on 25 August 2007. Sammajoor (my big brother the slave driver - but I love him) entered me into the 77km race at Sun City and I FINISHED. After that I rode another 3 races and finished (including 94.7).
