Have been using Stan's Yellow tape and sealant for a good couple of years now and have never punctured. Also, even at the pressures I run have never suffered pinch flat or sidewall cut. Granted I ride AM tires.

Its mainly for pinch flats i'm concerned about. Striking a rock at low pressure will increase the chance. I also use slime tubes and tire liners, overkill perhaps but in my 5/6 years MTB i have only had 1 puncture and that was when i replaced my tire without fitting the liner.

Oi all you old hubbers don't you think it's about time we club together and go round to Stans Yes Tjoops house? He needs a tjoopless conversion, he doesn't think so but it's a about damn time no ?

I need to drop the pressures in my DH tires. Running far too high, but then again I haven't converted to tubeless on them yet. On my XC bike I run about 30PSI (tubeless) and I weigh 100kg.

Will make a MASSIVE difference. Grip will be sick coming down the mountain. XC bike can come down quite a bit as well. Experiment with 22-25 front and 25-28 rear, then your work your way down from there.

Off topic a bit (and yes, there is a search option, but I don't think this exact question has been asked)

HR & Minion Super Tackies, non tubeless, wire bead. Tubeless-able?

Oh - and XC bike is normally 30 at the rear. At the front, I've got a piddly little 1.95 tubed tyre for now, until I get my rim fixed (using my wife's wheel) and that has to be super hard as it has NO volume...

Brilliant tires and never gets punctured.

Why do you want to change something that's working? Are you an engineer by any chance?tongue.gif

For what it's worth, I run around 100psi at the front and 110psi at the back (6.9bar, 7.5bar) and weigh 77kg.
