Bennies bend did not get the better of me, unlike last year. There was the one section where you could either choose to go down and up the embankment or go round, i skrikked one poor kid when i came flying up the embankment and nearly knocked him over.

Dont know which hurts more today my rear end or my shoulders from trying to shoulder charge some of those trees in the twisty bits. :(

We had a blast JC. We had some first timers with us and they soon joined in on the madness....

Your team must've been an all male team(or majority), 'cause everytime the cheers were loud, it was guaranteed a lady riding past!

Your positive attitude was contagious and a lot of people soon joined in to cheer the riders on in the last hour.

No shouting over racing lines, passing, moving over etc. And once these faster riders go past, they still have breath for encouraging words.

We actually had two awesome ladies who contributed in getting us to third in the mixed category, but the majority of the cheering started because we were trying to get the lady in pink to force a smile.... After that we cheered for everyone...

Ahah! It would have been pretentious to assume that a gorgeous blonde on a pink bike would be called Barbie... That was Steve (Focus Steve), worshipping the ground you ride on... At least he forced you to crack a smile...

We were across from the Germiston Wheelers guys- second or third stand from the corner

Here is Simon, the wheelie champ of the 24-hour (on our team's last lap of the event)

I think we (Germiston Wheelers) got a few smiles from MtbBarbie_44 when she rode passed our campsite, but definitely not on camera

Awesome Awesome Event!

Thanks to EVERYONE!!! Wendell, great event, will certainly be back next year.

First 24 hour... first MTB race actually! What started out as being a social ride became more competitive as the time passed.

Some moans…

Stretched@Birth…I did not appreciate your sleight of hand at the coffee station on Sunday morning  Thanks for the cappuccino! ;) Nice meeting you. Loved the "recognised your shoelaces" quip!

Wendell, how dare you design a course that allows so much room for passing? Mountain biking is supposed to be an aggressive pursuit where you swear at peaople you can't get past or people who want to pass you! Nice course!

The forecast said rain. There was none! I feel cheated!

Who was it that tooted their airhorn every lap? You were lucky I didn't throw that beer bottle! <_<

…Kidding! Was a great event! Had a jol! 1&2 December 2012 is penned in already!

Nice meeting you too Tumble. Sorry for hijacking the payment, now you owe me one... You can buy me a beer sometime

As with all the events I enterred this year, the bugs got the better of me, but I tried at least. Ended up supporting the SS Category winner, :o mixing bottles, making sure he ate, drank and slept.

Was a great event, thanks Wendell, Lee and all others involved.

dude you guys and your support crew are a must have at every race. i think i did an extra two laps just so i could ride past your campsite. was awsome thanx so much for the support. was great to have it there and out on route. you guys definitely get the team spirit award. (will have to organise something like that for next year)

caad4, you guys the Edenglen riders? If so, I agree, you guys were fantastic in the last two hours!
