So out of interest I did a google earth terrain model search and the JHB route came through flat ... the 24hrs of Oak Valley came through hilly .... ph34r.png

As I stated in the 94.7 thread. Jhb is pancake territory, terrain is as flat as, and air is as thin as one.

So we just go faster over flatter areas, and you guys go slower over hillier areas? Kinda evens things out...

Now enough stirring from my side ... I would love to do the ride out there.

and the (we in joburg call it) mountains out there may not be the biggest... but they are the oldest...was there when table mountain was still a coffee table...

Is that a road crossing I see near the start? How will the traffic be managed or are their bridges and tunnels?

 

That's a tunnel going underneath the road.
