That is uncalled for!!!!!!!

Not really - I would be seriously pissed off if I had bought wheels from CWC for R22k and just a few weeks later they were discounted by R9k.

If CWC did the right thing they should be like Nintendo who refunded customers who bought the 3DS just prior to the price drop.

Price increases can be justified due to new stock arriving at increased landed cost - discounts knocking 40% off retail - a bit harder to justify.......

It's like CWC running their specials on FB and this forum and not backing the product up with any level of sufficient stock. It should be stated on the ad's the quantities of stock that are available at that price. There is nothing like a wasted trip to the shop to look for a product that was advertised online 2 hours earlier only to be told that they are sold out.

Not a cool attitude you got there - it's like me saying to you 'hope you meet the rear end of a truck and live the rest of your life paralysed' = not cool (I know of a guy this happened to).

It's nothing like that at all - CWC should have insurance to cover this. If they are underinsured it's their own fault. This is a victimless crime.

Personally I dont like CWC's practices as you don't know what is a grey import or what is backed by a local warrantee - If I want discounted product I would rather buy from CRC, Wiggle, R&A or Competitive Cyclist.

R22k just for bicycle rims - who in their right mind can justify that ???

Anyway I have had good service and good deals with CWC on line, so thanks and condolence but I am sure the damage will be sorted soon, its just material goods, no loss of life so don't stress. Chances are that bakkie was stolen? Tik monsters on the prowl ...

Well Mr CWC just imagine you are the guy that bought the carbon rims for 22k at your shop

then one week later you discount them by 9k, how would you feel.

that that happened was just one guys feelings towards how bike shops are fking the cycling community.

Sure enough, things goes on sale, but dropping a price 9k, leaves us thinking wot its real value is.

So yes Yaaaay to the isuzu driver...Di it again dude!!!!

Dude...you are a grade "A" knob.

Thats not on, you should have researched what you were buying properly and should know the real value of things before you buy them.

Whats that saying "a fool and his money are soon parted"????

**** bud. If you can afford to pay 22kay for rims for an amateur, non-sponsored cyclist; getting fleeced out of 9 gorrilas should not really be of a concern... The okes' business got robbed. Show some compassion or keep your stupidity inspired opinions to yourself.

Surely the community is small enough to know when these bikes come on the market? They're not going to be selling these in Gug's or Capricorn! I firmly believe that if there wasn't a demand then they would stick to something else.

Stolen to order? Just a thought as it's pretty common in the vehicle world. Pay an oke R10K and you get 3 bikes worth a lot, lot more and they don't have to shift on the open market. Robbing a bike shop seems pretty niche.

What ever it is it's pretty average to say the least. Glad you guys have insurance to cover the loss and damage.

Couldn't agree more hellcolour....we should be on the look out for anybody selling bikes like this at crazy-low prices. But like you said, it only happens because there is a market for it

But...

They could sell them at a normal price, not low, even a tad high to make people think they love their bike and want to get a great price.

But again,

If they stole 2 pina's maybe they just want to ride them?

And there aren't too many pina's floating around CT so they should be easy enough to spot.

let's put it this way...whenever we gonna see pina's it's gonna get funny LOOK's, then the GIANTS will come out and blast them with CANNONdale's firepower......just a thought

Willing buyer, willing seller. Not sure sure how you expect to be taken seriously with this post. Rule number One: if you gonna have a dumb ass rant, the least you can do is do it with some style. Dumb ****!
