Sorry also for Bailing in Simonstown. Did not want to get drenched again, and riding in such hard/strong rain is a bit dangerous for me. Going down Smitswinkel I did not have much in the way of brakes!!

Was however a nice ride, and I still ended with an avg of just a tad over 29km/h.

Hopefully will see some of you guys again at the 99'er recce on Saturday.

You missed the grand finale of the final 3 climbs! ^_^

Must say the thunderstorms around Cape Point was spectacular.

Thanks for the awesome ride guys :thumbup:

Zac Dude, cool to meet you, man.

And your dad too.

It was quite an adventure this ride.

I was impressed with the numbers that rocked up on the day.

It is a special route. :thumbup:

Thanks for the ride guys. And for waiting on the hills for me. I guess I'm being punished for having been off the bike for 8 months. Hopefully my form will return soon.

Are we doing another Tour de Peninsula this year?

Correction: next year before argus

@ Tubehunter,

You looked sharp there, mountain goat. :rolleyes:

@ niklasvm,

Good to see you in the mix again.

Get those legs back soon. Welcome back! :thumbup:

@MTB_Roadie

Hope your cables get sorted out, man.

Welcome to Sram! |Great product...

@ Tiny K,

Not your kinda route, I know.

You're a Hushovd type of rider who is more suited for rollers and less serious climbing. Thanx for coming out from Wellington. :)

@ MariusL,

Good to have you in the mix, man.

Hope those KCNC brakes were not too dodgy down Smitswinkel. ;)

@tjommie

Lekka to meet you - enjoyed our chat entering Simonstown. ;)

*Thanx for a lekka ride - I'm out*

What happened at the boom at the foot of Maritime climb... glad you could rejoin the ride.

To make up for the lost opportunity, I suggest 10 x repeat of Maritime climb... :lol:

What happens on the ride, stays on the ride. ;)

To add to that, What doesn't happen on the ride, stays on the ride. :lol: :lol:

thnx for the awesome ride guys!

@ Dale, luckily I hardly needed the big blade as the 39 worked perfect for all the climbs, just span myself dead on the flat sections and descents, but it is sorted now ;)

Will see you guys the 31st
