26" Giant Revel 0 HT - serves me well as I've only been riding for a year, but I reckon the upgrades would start to appear soon :)

I've been riding a carbon rigid fork for the last year, one of those no-name, carbon tube with aluminium dropout and crown jobbies. I ride predominantly at Rietvlei (blue and green routes) and Thaba Trails (green route) and its great. There's a little bit of brake chatter under heavy front wheel braking, but otherwise its great to have so little weight to lift in front.

WARNING!!!!! Subjective opinion below!

I feel that its made me a smoother rider. I pick my lines more carefully, but I don't seem to be riding any slower.

Have you ridden over rocky/flinty tracks?

150mm Shova (26" for those who don't know the bike)

100mm travel Kona Kahuna Hardtail custom build (I.e ... what ever I could lay my hands on), it is a 29'er that can't decide if it wants to be a SS or geared bike

26" Felt Q 620 with 120mm up front and some other (quite nice) upgrades

26" GT DHI Race 180mm/180mm wif a few upgrades...

I like both equally, but the DHI is the favourite child...

Have you ridden over rocky/flinty tracks?

Yip. Trick is to let your upper body and arms be your suspension.

There's plenty rocky ascents and descents where I ride.
