i stopped wheeling after i did one after a very long ride and i landed on my ass with my feet still clipped in. Most painful experience you can imagine :(

Shush. Bennie will be mentioning that incident in the parking lot...

Its just something to get used to, it feels different with a 29er. But its still no problem. (That is now for a hardtail)

Reign, struggle? we need to chat.

Ok, maybe compared to a BMX there is a marked difference. But you should be able to get that beaut off the ground. Are you at least clearing curbs?

Neg VT: flat pedals or clipped in, and by extension, J-hop or bunny hop?

I know most of us use bunny hop to mean j-hop as well, but i've created the distinction cos some dont actually do a bunny hop in the sense some understand it. (given your avatar, im pretty sure you know what I'm on about, and apologies if the question is considered an affront to your skills ;) )

This is a proper bunny/j-hop:

I learned to bunny hop on a bmx. I thought there was only one kind? Still serves me well today. At Sunday's road race I rode back to the climbers by bunny hopping the speed bumps down Glen Road at 60km/h.
