AL for me & this time I'm going to start in AL and hopefully I'll have a much better race than Fast One (crashed).

Drop to B group and keep with the guys as long as you can this will help bring down your index. You might find it not so bad. Just enjoy it.

hey Sean32, i think thats a plan

will try and keep up to the various groups that pass

Hey! Thought you do not ride A.

Do I have to ride AL now to suck wheel, and to be ensured of a 'soft' landing?

Perfect it will defiantly help your times to ride with the faster groups. Try sit as close to the front as you can so when you lose ground you can latch on to some guys to keep in contact. Do this on the hills. Mind the potholes on this race that’s also a good reason to try stay in the front. Good luck tell us how it went.

Generally the roads are good its only their through the township when you turn left off the road you goes towards Nigel with that its bad, this is also where the one hill is and were you usually loose the group

Was seeded AL last year, started BL as I was boxed in in the starting pens. That and the depleted elites gave me a great seeding index for the race (best i've ever had). It has kept me in the top twenty all year. Guess that will change come Sunday, sigh!

Don't like riding A as I normally get taught a serious cycling lesson but I like falling a lot less, so I'll ride A and hopefully the bunch will split early and I'll have a safe, quick ride until the end.

Safety first !!!!

If you hear "... hole!!!" it means "POT hole!!!" not ar$3 hole so do not get aggro, rather heads up and be ready for anything!

A start for me as well , however the last time i rode with A bunch was 94.7 - and let me tell you thinking back to that first 30kms up into town - youre not the only one hoping it will split early  . but hey you earned that A start , so - use it, even if its from the back of the start pen.

BL 0634. Anyone know what time the leaders of this group finished in last year?

Wizz should know, but it was sub 2:40 if I recall correctly
