Stolen in Cape Town : XS SCOTT CONTESSA White, blue decal, black fork, Speedplay pedals

Catherine Pridday had her road bike stolen from her home yesterday morning (30 January).

It is an XS SCOTT CONTESSA, imported from the US, so quite uncommon in appearance.

White frame, with blue decal, and black fork; Speedplay pedals; white bartape; 10spd; triple chain ring.

Any info or help in getting it back will be most appreciated.

Please message Club 100 on Facebook with any info

Bike found at Neil's Wheels on Thursday. At this stage Neil will not acknowledge that it is a stolen bike, the police are involved in getting the bike back.

Ffs! How much more stolen stock will appear on his floor / garage etc before he gets shut down or locked up.

maybe we should let him be its an easy way to recover stolen bikes

Ye seems easier then putting him in jail

Hmmm

well if this is the bike at his premises then he can be charge with having stolen goods, will something come from it, probably not considering you can get away with anything today.

As was said, at least it's an easy recovery process, bike stolen go visit Neil's wheels.

How does one get to check whether he has a bike? I went to his shop after my brother's Demo 8 was stolen, darted my eyes around, told them about it and asked whether they'd seen it, but I couldn't exactly demand to search his entire building, could I?

What have others done?

How many stolen bikes have been found there to date?

Not too sure, but EdgeDesign here on the hub had a tally going. Problem is that most have been seen, the dispossessed owner tells them to keep the bike there while they go get the cops, get back to the shop, and the bike is miraculously gone......
