Where there is a willing buyer there is a willing seller.

As long as there is a place for thieves to sell bikes they will continue to steal them.

Having made him aware that you have been tipped off that he has stolen bikes in his garage at home, probably wasn't the best thing to do as by now he has probably had them stored at another location...

I personally as a new cyclist a couple years back was very interested in buying a bike from him as he had a wide variety of fairly decent road bikes which he was willing to let go for quite a good price...

I was then made aware of his reputation as a dealer in stolen bikes so i opted to purchase a new bike at a LBS instaed as he wouldn't guarantee me that IF i bought a full carbon bike from him and there was a fracture or something in the frame, that i could bring it back for a refund....

I still, when in that part of the southern suburbs, pop minto the shop every now and then just to have a look around, and there are still some fairly decent bikes hanging up, with all the components clearly changed...

I hope someone puts a end to this as thieves must clearly know that if they steal bikes, they know where they can sell it for quick cash, and this makes us "southern suburbs" cyclist a tad bit scared of even stopping at a traffic light or just mrely running into the shop to get a energade or choc for a ride and leaving our bikes by the counter etc....

Edge-Design, i hope your friend can put an end to this.....

Neil is claiming that that that the bike size is medium and that and therefore can't be the stolen bike. In fact measurements done on the bike which Neil has in his showroom shows it to be a size small (52cm centre of BB to top of seat tube, measured by bike expertBikeSpecs.pdfContessaSizing.pdf). This exactly matches the sizing of the stolen bike according to the attached photo.

Today I heard of another bike that had been recovered at Neil's Wheels.

Neil --> I would like to challenge you to supply the paperwork you are legally required to have for the purchase/acquisition of that bike (including a copy of the ID of the "seller). If you have nothing to hide as you almost manage to indicate in your message then you should have no problem with your shops records (as required by law). I have also asked you previously if you would prove that you have no bikes in your garage at home (I have been told otherwise) so that everyone can know you are being honest and not hiding the truth. Surely you would like to clear your name or do you really not care at all that you are known as the one stop stolen bike shop in the Southern Suburbs?

If anyone has the time to find links to all of the threads involving stolen bikes recovered from Neil, please would you PM me links to them. I would like to take the details to the police station and see if it would be possible to lay criminal charges against him (if you have had your own bike recovered there as I have then please send me your story and contact details) - I have one senior cop who is quite keen to assist with this, but I still need to find out the possibilities.

Well done Edge, right behind you all the way. I will do some research regarding history of stolen bikes that have gone through his hands.

Time to nail this guy as he is partially responsible for creating a market in stolen bikes.
