As much as everyone hates the I dig SAA. 20kg's free sporting allowance, a meal and a flight which generally runs on time.

Kulula are a bunch of @ssholes. The only reason they barely have their head above water is because of Discovery Vitality.

I always thought it was important to have a good medical aid

FAA regulations in the States:

http://www1.airweb.f...E/AC120-27D.pdf

190lb in summer, 195lb in winter (both include 16lb carry-on baggage). 30lb checked-in baggage.

I don't know what the local regulations are, but Baie-sukkel should.

In South Africa the following gets used for passenger weights:

Male : 97 kg

Female: 77 kg

Children: 35 kg ( I am not sure up to what age a peson is classified as a child, will checj up on that should you really be interrested)

Note the weights given includes your allowable hand luggage....mmmm I think it's 7kg per econ passenger and a bit more for business or what ever they call that area with a bit more legroom.

Also the weights given for international differ for the route..................please don't shoot the messanger, but the weights used on a USA flight for a male is more than the weight used for a male on a Far East flight.

Charging for excess luggage is a common thing world wide and don't think South Africa is expensive,I have been shot badly on one of the worlds major low cost outfit form Gatwick to Split Croatia a while back.( I preffere keeping names to myself)

Wow, I have to take back my fatties comments then... because according to that my 88kg plus laptop-metro "manbag" and goodies im sure id be classified over weight....

That said, it also means that most of the fatties i'm talking about should then be at least 30-40kg's over this weight... making a guy like me still come in under them even with a bike and some jeans, and stuff to wear in the hull...

Just having some fun  .... wasn't a total hijack either, I fully support the movement to ban VERY FAT people from airplanes and all other public spaces where one may randomly find yourself stuffed between them... bus, car, plane, train...

Also, from all areas where they might expose themselves... like beaches, public pools, etc etc...

If we can make it difficult for them to go in public, then we might even help them to loose weight because the only place that should allow them through the doors should be Gym's and Surgeons with fat vacuums....

My point is, we should not pay more for our bikes on a plane, seriously... they will in most cases not ever have more than 10 bicycles on any single flight, make it first 10 bikes to check in is free (online before) or at the counter or something....

Rant-on> they probably make more from selling the fatties cokes, chocolates and chips on the kulula flights...or, maybe, just maybe, they use our R400-R600 bike levy's to subsize the price of sweeties on the planes to lure the fatties onto their planes? think about that conspiracy theory would you....

You see yourself as superior with your bony @rse, remember what happened to people like you, Herr Hitler had to shoot himself and Mussolini's was killed and his own people and hanged upside down.

I will get some duk okes to sit on you so I can kick you....... Come to think of it, to sit on you will be enough to break some of your skinny bones.

To make sure u don't pay next time before flying make sure you get confirmation from the airline customer service counter re bike flying and believe me u won't have to pay 4 ur bike I tried it and it works as 1 time and SAA desk confirmed with SAA though they said if u fly with express you will pay for the bike. Must agree airlines can be full of **** depending on the person doin ur check in

@ 88kg's & 1.83m i'm not what most people call skinny... and I eat ALOT...

The difference is like many other people of my size we dont stuff our face with donuts, koek-sisters, kfc and big mac's... we dont eat 10 packets of crisps and 2 slabs of choccies a day... and i certainly dont wash it down with litres of soda or milkshake... i dont drink 6 spoons of sugar with my coffee... i dont have a cheesecake for dessert.... having a 1kg of potato salad or a supersize fries does nothing for your ass or for nutrition.

And aside from the major benefit of being able fit comfortably in a standard an airplane seat, i also live with the joy of actually being able to see my own junk down there.. i can even reach it...

Whoa, hold on, I think you made your point ages ago.. The joke is over. Not everyone who is overweight has an eating disorder. It would be like saying everyone who cannot understand that is stupid... Not the case, mostly ignorant.

Please stick to what is deemed socially acceptable manners please.

Sorry, you are right.... having a bad day. made my point ages ago and shouldn't have been baited into my last post.....

and the only reason that saa have their head above water is that they have been rescused several times by the tax-payer, so in essence we paid for your "free" 20kg sporting allowance and meal.

and you try living life without an @sshole, see how far you get - useful things @ssholes. Tonsils on the other hand.......

Shooo this is a delicate topic but it has to debated so here's my 5c. In 2007 I flew from Heathrow to JHB. I was 5kg overweight. Me and everything I owned at that point in life. I was charged for the 5kg excess baggage. There was a humugus giant of a woman on the same flight who would never be able to sit in a single seat I would love to know what if any additional charges she paid ? I reckon just her body weight, never mind luggage, was at least twice me and all my luggage.

FAT people take up more than just their seat in my experience..................sucks on anything over 1 hours worth of flying. :excl:

EDIT: Unable to be delicate. Been there, had that, too many times.
