Fulcrum Vs Mavic Vs Easton Road Wheels

Had many mates who have had random spokes snap on eastons, and they are not heavy guys.

Maybe its just bad initial builds at the factory but seems to be a common issue.

I had a set of Mavic Ksyrium Elites that I loved. Swore I would never ride any other brand.

Then I had to replace them and couldn't find a shop with Ksyrium's in stock at the time, so got a set of Fulcrum Racing 3's

These are my absolute favourites (I like them better than I liked the Ksyrium's)

Fulcrum all the way!

Easton EA90 SLX. They the 2015 model. I have 16000kms on them, only thing I ever did was replace the bearings on the rear wheel after crashing into a pothole. No spoke issues, no trueing issues. Really like these wheels

Was mostly the early Eastons that had spoke issues, and it was because of poor material that was used.  I still have my EA70s hanging around that Omnico refused to fix, which was the actual cause of me buying second-hand Campagnolo Eurus wheels on The Hub. I could break those spokes like spaghetti. It seems that the spoke got corroded on the inside, making them porous.

Still miffed at Omnico, which is why I refuse to buy their products as much as I can.

I do though have a set of Easton EA90XC wheels on my 26er MTB that never gave any problems.

Fulcrum/Campag all the way!!

Have got a pair of R7's for training and Eurus (12 years old) that I occasionally race on.

Both absolutely bullet proof.

Been down this decision road, ended up selling my eastons and buying a set of duraace c24s.

Loved the eastons but the shimano setup rocks. Shimano hubs are cheap and easy to service.
