My daughter has 3 or 4 of the plain base plates in different colours. She loves them and uses them to do her own builds. She's really into building houses and shops etc (she announced the other day she wants to be an architect) so it's well suited to that.

During hard lockdown I made this, a Lego snakes and ladders type game. The kids loved it and and they spent hours playing:

My lad who is 15 plays a lot with these base plates and builds all sorts of things. Quite astounding that a 15 year old loves Lego this much. Especially in todays times with video games, to etc. he loves it. Guess it’s downtime and let the imagination run.

My birthday present last month....

Not a huge set or overly complicated, but a nice end result.

My youngest (5) bought the first Lego for himself this weekend. Using his saved up Tandemuis money.

He chose the beautiful Speed Champions Lotus. Building took a while, as he built it himself.

I dusted off some of my old Technics sets that managed to avoid ending up at in the stash at my parent's house. We had so much fun together building some of the alternates of my sets and then playing with it afterwards. I look forward to our next visit at my parents. There is a Lego train that needs to run again. I hope the weather is terrible.

was my lads birthday last week so went to Lego store for him to buy some stuff. Unbeknown to him I had a few spare shekels and also bought him some Lego. Darth Vader bust and this McLaren. Well, I never really understood why Lego has become such a thing with adults until this McLaren. It’s superb

And won a few Lego items on eBay. Used but dismantled and put back into packets. Paid about 50 percent of new pricing.

lad loves them, job done.

Lego Technics for the win. We used to get most of the good sets when my son was into it….they still take up half the spare lounge. Those F1 sets are still my faves, love how they do the suspension.

Grew up watching F1 in the late 80's and 90's so, when I saw Lego introduce this set, it went to the top of my wish list. Then I saw it for 30% off on Import a Toy and it was a no-brainer...

PS, it's still on special (if you need a reason to justify the purchase to your other half #justsaying 😉)

Love touch of the Brazilian flag colours in unseen areas...

Snap.

been meaning to get my son this. Looked around for a special price but alas no. Went to silverstone for MotoGP on the weekend and went to the megastore there. Boom. I was also a huge F1 fan back in the day. Still am to a certain degree but after working for F1 I got to see the ugly side of it. It’s not a sport, it’s business these days. But alas.

my son loved building this. Very happy.
