When I used to ride races with enough riders to have the occasional bottleneck, I used them to practice my trail stand.

You guys should try it. Standing stationary take all the tension out of the traffic jam and focuses it squarely on your ability to not make fool of yourself by landing on yer arse. Guys would often just wave me through even though I wasn't really in much of a hurry.

What the hell is a trail stand...its a TRACK stand....!!!

Either way, how do you fit a guy and a bike into a bottle's neck so they can try it? It's like those ships in bottles. How do they do it?

A trail stand is what you do when you don't have a mini pump in your wheelset. A "TRACK, TRACK, TRACK-stand" is what you do when you go past rouxtjie who is camping on the line trying to create a bottleneck....

On the road or track I call it a track stand.

On the trail... well, it is best not to have any terminology that could in any way be confused with shouting "TREK... TREK".
