Long story short, I enjoyed it and bought 1kg on my way back from MTN Sabie.The second purchase was a far darker roast than the first (oily texture when the first was dry), it didn't taste nearly the same nor have the same amount of crema once extracted. So I assume that it wasn't fresh either. Yeah, perhaps. But consistency is key. One bad batch and you won't see me again. On a student budget it's too risky to waste money on empty promises. I've found they talk the talk but never deliver the goods. The service is brilliant, it's a pity that that's not what I'm there for. They have like a million different beans you can buy, from single origins to blends to their own blends. I wish they would choose like 3 beans and focus their energy on that specifically.
