Coffee machine

Recommended Posts

Thanks. Yes I was thinking 5k for the Oscar so your price seems right to me. She is a good friend I'm very fond of so I will let it go for 5.

My partner says she has seen the Linea online for 58k. It's a lot of money for coffee is it not. I will try contact Koldserve and see what they say.

Call Foodserv too - and please pick a great grinder first - otherwise it will be a waste and you will not get the quality you want to get in the cup.

I hear you. Also had an Oscar and it is best to avoid the "multiple stepped" upgrade approach and just get one that will blow your mind for time to come.

I have a Simonelli MDX grinder. Had it as long as I have had the Oscar. It's been very reliable and gets very good reviews. I paid 12k for it three years ago. In your opinion will it be suitable?

Thanks for the advice.

What a difficult choice it would be for me:

Is that the GS3 on the left? It's a commercial machine I think if I'm correct. It sure is pretty. Does it need to be plumbed?

That is the GS3, no its a home/commercial machine. Ask V12 about it, he has one at home from what I remember... Great machines!

I love the look of the GS3...

Yip, an early generation one. Doesn't need to be plumbed in. But apparently it's advisable to plum the MP versions. It's actually a robust domestic machine.

Only read good things about it. I guess you can't go wrong with a La marzocco

That's just wrong. There's a guy sprudge that does customizations. You should see some of the Slayers he's done. Was thinking of customizing my machine but too pricey
