It's fake bud!

The date of payment differs from the reference number embedded date (April vs. May), so it's not even an intelligent con-man, and besides, I don't give a s#it what they demand, no release of goods until the money reflects in the bank!!!!

I have a Nedbank Account

Here is a print screen of the Proof of Payment with some details edited out. I am sure you understand the need for editing some details ;)

Anyway, I think the proof of payment they gave you is fake.

Don't move any goods until you have the money secured in your account. I had a guy once try this on me and thankfully I stuck to my guns and insisted on waiting for the funds to clear .... guess what, a fraudster.

Hi Guys, i hope you can help me. How does Nedbank's online proof of payment look like. The reason i ask is, because my friend sold his PS3 on OLX, but this guy who bought it, are insisting he send the ps3 immediately with overnight delivery. And the funds would only be clear tomorrow morning in his ABSA account. That all ready sounds to dodgy for me. So luckily he didn't send the ps3 yet. See attached the proof of payment. dude, it does not look right. Nedbank proof of payments always reflect a transaction reference number. seems to be missing from this one.

If you have the time and inclination tell him that you've had a change of heart and need his address and a copy of his ID as he will need his ID to receive it. Once you have these details tell him that if the money is not in the account you will be laying a charge of fraud against him......and tell him that you have changed your mind again and will wait for the funds to reflect.
