Hope the person that dreamt up the stick on number idea is out there today cleaning our streets

That didn't work out - really. thumbdown.gif

To the rider B2522 you my friend should not ride a bike. When someone puts there hand on your leg to let you know that you must hold your line. This is to let you know you are invading my @#$% space. When i do it for the second and third time this does not mean it’s time for you to see if you can take me out. Then punching me in the chest and then trying to ride into me again is not how you ride a bike. My friend you get my middle finger award for the biggest DICK at the 94.7. Your day will come and it will hurt i can promise you that.

Get his name pappie, quite keen to put a name to that number.

Shall I report him for you ?

I watched as a spectator, and I was shocked to see how many rude b@st@rds there is on the road.

We had a dude across the road from us fixing a puncture and the one dude came past him screaming (trying to sing) I've got a feeling.

He did not get a friendly response from the punctured rider, yeah some real chops out there.

Was my first roadie race. Starting in I, there was a great train that i managed to hook onto, not sure who all the guys were, KTM, couple Raleighs, pretty much stayed together the whole way.

Sorry to the dude on the KTM who i didn't see next to me when i reached for a barone on Jan Smuts... blush.png

Had a great time and finished in 2h47. Was hoping for a sub 3, so plenty happy with that!

managed 2/459 for I batch.

my first road race ever, great experience, lots of fun till we got to krugersdorp hell hill, thats when my mate and i lost our sense of humour with that wind and heat, saw a couple of nasties, spectators were awesum, people were generally friendly a few chops on the road, i have newfound respect for roadies coming from mtb

Would you agree that, all things concidering, the 94.7 is more difficult than the Argus!?

Argus is easier. There are simply no transition stretches along this route where you can recover. You are either going up or down and the rolling hill profile has hills that are too long or steep for the average amateur racer to simply use momentum to then power you over. You have to climb them at pace knowing the next one is in your face just a few kilometers up the road.

I must say, I had no issue with my number. I actually struggled to get it off my shirt in the end! If you stuck it on with pressure while the shirt was stretched (as if you were wearing it) it stayed on pretty good.

I sat at the finish for a while and in that time maybe 10% of the finishers still had numbers on their backs. Also to do with the type of fabric I suppose.

Hi G-Unit (Geoff),

Thanx man!! Are you doing better and back to normal after those Cape Pioneer Trek bees stung you??

Nope, my road bike is not a S Works, but a S Cott.....ha-ha-haw00t.gif

Keep well.

Cheers,

Ja, recovered from the bee stings but for some reason I'm a bit off honey these days!huh.png
