Thorn199 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Now that is how you organise a MTB race! Perfect organisation & facilities. Route was brilliant. Tough, with some great singletrack and technical sections, with minor bottlenecks. Not oversubscribed and the technical bits at the start helped to spread the field. Very happy with my day out. We need to seriously have more races like that more often...

Joe_Cogs Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I've already commented, but I'll comment again Amazing ride, minimal hold ups (maybe because I was close to the grim sweeper ), great scenery, well organised, great variation and a super challenge I'll definitely be back!

Dale Clark Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 That must have been the toughest and BEST race I have done in AGES!!!! Legs worked solid the whole way... Nice to have free flowing track the whole way Venue was awesome easy getting in and out... and great vibe from start to finish.
djsam Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Have to say i am bit of a roadie, so i found... it tough and challenging, out there....but wow...good fun....!!! really well organized... , learnt alot going through a fence , over the handle bars...!! next time i am going to try stay on the bike

manbearpig Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Lekka ride, felt olympic but missed my PB finish cos of unclear marking, stopped a few times to find the correct route and got "lost" in the last 2km. Was a larff to ride with my china Danny though.

Great atmosphere at the finish line and the waterpoints were great too. I know that these events cannot be presented at this level without the monetary input from the sponsers. With that in mind a big thank you to EQSTRA and Biogen. These to companies really come the party and it showed. Excellently prepared track made for an unforgetable event. I'll be back for sure. The only improvement I can think of is maybe throw in a singlespeed category?

Richard Beswick Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Glad you guys enjoyed the race and route, took 2 months to put it together and the rain 1 day to stuff it up but we got it back to good enough shape in the end. Singlespeed cat is a must, second time a singlespeed rider has come third overall in the event. Dale Clark 1
