They'll be on the same team for a few years yet.

I don't think they will race the Tour together again, though.

Froome will target the Vuelta, the Giro then the Tour.

By that stage Wiggo will have a knighthood. and will be commentating for Channel 4. I do not think he will win another Tour, though.

Contador will be very tough to beat.

Anybody entertaining the idea that Wiggo knew that they could easily have bridged the gap yesterday and that he was just being a dick and sand bagging because he would have nothing to gain by it? Didn't appreciate the wry smile as he went over the line...

Edit: And flexing his "I'm No.1" muscles

My brain did wander in that direction.

I reckon he was a bit nervous that Froomie could have opened up too big a gap and then perhaps have a good TT.

I reckon tomorrows ITT is going to be one to watch. I don't think Froome can bridge a 2'05" gap over 50 odd km (Less time maybe). I reckon he is going to try and make a statement though...

Watch that space...

I have that seaky feeling that BW is going to blow on the TT and Froome will win earlier than expected, or may only be wishfull thinking.

If he made up a minute yesterday if they let him go it would have been a different scenario, thus me saying Wiggins might have got scared.

Not sure Froome can repeat. What is his TT normally like? Is he really strong in the TT normally?

He knew he could TT before he knew he could climb.

I was thinking, go back in history, teams have always defended the yellow jersey regardless, so the big hoohaa is not justified, the fact remains tha BW got the Yellow jersey on his own in the TT, the team simply are doing their job, by keeping it on his back.

Tweeter Sagan@TweeterSagan

Many fan say apart from Sagan this year Tour crushingly boring like watch paint dry in slow motion with Hungarian subtitle. Sagan agree.

I thought the same thing.

Wiggins is a tjop but then again he's a pomie ....

Hopefully Wiggins has a mechanical i the TT (don't want to wish him a fall as a fall is always cr@p).

"As soon as we hit the bottom I was in trouble and I started sliding backwards through the group. I tried everything from gels to cokes and every bit of food I could find. Nothing, and I mean nothing was helping. My legs were just empty and it felt as if I couldn’t scratch myself if I tried. I got dropped really early on and tried to ride my own tempo but I couldn’t even find something comfortable. Luckily there were 10 guys behind me and Tyler Farrar was driving that group. I pleaded with him to slow down by 1km/hr and he was a legend, he slowed down and we soldiered on. "

Another hurt locker blog from Voigt:

But Sky was going so hard, just hammering, or maybe they are that much stronger and they were just riding steady tempo. It doesn’t matter, the pack just exploded. And I can tell you that I got dropped in a group with some very good riders! And what about those poor sprinters that were even further back just trying to survive?

No, it was just one of those days. It was so painful! There was that stupid heat. There was that stupid wind. My butt is killing me. My feet are swelling!

Today was one of those days when you realise just how much pure suffering and pain you endure in the Tour de France. The heat is frying your brain out! You cross the finish line and you don’t know if you are a man or a woman! Water! Water! That is all you want!

Beat Wiggins in the Vuelta long TT last year, not sure by how much...??

We also have to remember Froome lost most of the the difference due to a puncher. Without that incident things might have been very very interesting for Sky...Think the difference would have been like 40 seconds now.

In the end it does not really matter to Sky,they win the tour and even better they have a first and second on GC.

Something that has not happened for many years!!
