It is very hard to be a rookie and a legend at the same time.... RookieLegend is entirely an oxymoron.

A little more smoke up PS's @ss and it may just be his new handle though!

Looks like a very eventful tour we're having this year!

Indeed, I agree with you, they really need to put both of them out to pasture, Mathew Keenan is such a breath of fresh air, I am like....why are the two P's here anyway.?

..................I think if I hear "did you know its the nervous energy"? once more, I am gonna scream.!

Or turn yourself inside-out? :whistling:

I must say, one rider I've been impressed by so far in the Tour is Edvald Boasson Hagen

He is indeed a great talent.

One other thing people also tends to forget is the politics ,motives and plans behind the teams.

If you don't have an all rounder that's going to win tours, then exploit your sprinter.

Edvald in another team could possibly just show that he could win more races.

Yeah he offered to help Cav in his lead up to the sprint but Cav said : I got this do your own thing

Maybe at another team I agree

Why did Sky then recruit two top sprinters in Cav and Edvald?

Cav is a specialist and isn't Edvald more of an all-rounder, like Peter the Jedi (but nothing like...)

Rather ask Edvald where the money lies.

fixed...

Unless Sky is looking to have EBH contend and keep the team in the line honour points on the days with bigger climbs. Hushovd has changed the approach some of the bigger chaps on the bikes will tackle le tour.

I dont understand the issue, why cant people just look at Sagan's wins and say, "Terrific wins young man, I am happy for you" who knows what the future holds, I dont, we dont, and he doesn't either, but right now he is winning stages at the biggest stage race in the world and making it look easy,............. lets just celebrate that.!

.....I also like the fact he makes the sign of the cross on winning, kind of makes me think he acknowledges who gave him his great talent.

I don't think anyone is disputing his wins and trying to take any credit away from him.

For mr in particular the problem lies in calling him a great, he still has loads of work ahead of him.

The sign of the cross........very European.

Eish! Another 200 plus.

Here's a report from Inner Ring:

The profile above suggests a sterile stage with a flat route and a sprint finish. But today’s stage hugs the exposed coastline for a long time and there’s an uncategorised climb before the finish to derail the sprint trains.

  • Km 38.0 – Côte du Mont Huon2.1 kilometre-long climb at 4.1% – category 4
  • Km 69.0 – Côte de Dieppe1.8 kilometre-long climb at 3.9% – category 4
  • Km 74.0 – Côte de Pourville-sur-Mer1.9 kilometre-long climb at 4.4% – category 4
  • Km 143.0 – Côte de Toussaint1.9 kilometre-long climb at 4.5% – category 4

Interesting comparison between Sagan and Hagen.

Sagan turned down more money to stay with liquigas.

In fact, sprint finishes for the next 3 days until the mountains over the weekend.

Cav vs Greipel vs Farrar vs Petacchi, etc.

The GC dudes will just wanna keep it safe.

Impressive to see how BMC is way upfront keeping Cadel out of trouble.

Must admit that the final 10km stretches to the finish have been wild this year!
