Christie Posted June 10, 2012 Share Sagan again?! Winning the prologue this time. He is starting to behave more like Merkcx, by winning everything It will be interesting to see how his career develops. The other big TDF warm-up is on the go. Not as loaded with big contenders as the Dauphiné, but riders to watch:CancellaraAlbasiniKreuzigerFuglsang, Klöden, Leipheimer, FrankValverdeLeipheimer (he was poor in the prologue, perhaps time to scratch him off the list of Tdf contenders)Gesink
Christie Posted June 10, 2012 Share Stage 1 finished in Verbier, so it started off with a mountain top finish.Of those listed above, Frank finished best, looks like his preperation is on track. valverde, Kreuziger, Leipheimer not bad either.Fuglsang and Gesink was a bit off the pace, which does not bode well for either being serious contenders in July.Klöden and Albasini were way off the pace.Cancellara rolled in with a sprinters bunch, 13 mins down. Its taking him long to get back after the crash he had. Edited June 10, 2012 by Christie
'Dale Posted June 11, 2012 Share Glad to hear Cancellara is back on his bike after his eina shoulder bruising. Looks like Frank is far more ready for the leader's position than Andy.Decision time, Bruyneel.
SwissVan Posted June 11, 2012 Share Yesterdays stage must have been hard, avg speed 34kmh over 218 km, not often u see the top chaps with such a low avg.Schleckie looked a bit knackered on the last few km's, pity he could not stay ahead of Costa. Fujioso Posted June 12, 2012 Share With Sagan in such prolific form, a great TdF is on hand. He will have a go at Cav and Greipel. The prospect leaves me salivating.

Christie Posted June 15, 2012 Share Another stage done, another win for Sagan, race report done To be honest, there aren't many top sprinters in the tds, but it sort of sets the stage nicely for a clash in 2 weeks time! Cav, Sagan, Boonen......
Christie Posted June 15, 2012 Share Well done by Gesink in the TT today. He did better than all the other names mentioned as GC riders for the TDF. It looks to me as if he could be on the 3d step of the podium, if he has timed his peak correctly
