Goblin Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) Mate of mine just had hes car stolen at Groenies. Looks like thieves have identified it as a oppurtunistic spot. So for what is worth,be alert for suspicious character’s and when you push your remote ensure your car is actually locked. Edited June 30, 2012 by Goblin

And on sat a morning, the place was packed.Tracker got it, but in two hours they had basically stripped out all the contents, seats, carpets ,dash, most probably looking for the tracker.

Tumbleweed Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 This is a bummer. Always considered it one of the safest venues around. Maybe they could use the card system they used at the Groenkloof/Fountains gate for cars? You can't leave unless you return the card you get at the entrance?

dirtrider Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Car theft at races are also a big problem . Before Babaas got new security a few cars got stolen there . At the Military race a few months ago a car got stolen .
