Did u see that he was actually going faster than Cav but just ran out of road. 15m more and I think he would of had the stage.

He was in a bad spot, the lead out split between the 2nd and third guy

Looks like it was a no contest - well done Sagan !!

Yeah, I think he could possibly, just possibly, match the Cav at top end speed.

What makes Cav the more wiser is his positioning and timing.

The laaitie will learn more and kick some Cav azzz soon.

Boasson Hagen blocked him when they came out of the turn. Maybe team tactics?

I've never seen the Manx Missile launch that early.

Must've been scared of da Hulk.

Maybe next Sunday the hulk will have his turn.

i doubt it if it comes to a sprint. Did you see the job that the poms did for Cav in the Worlds? Serious pace and control. Does the finish is in central london so not much in the way of major hills to start a decent break.

Apparently Cav' is leaving Sky as he wants a whole team behind him to get him to Eddy's Tour record. Wonder who will have the coin to buy him out of a 3 yr deal and match his WC wages...

Sky pays him 1.5million pounds a season....

That explains the big smile and his happiness to go fetch bottle for bilbo this tour... Nice work.

So who'll stump up the cash for his buy out, the possible compensation due to loss of wins for the team, UCI points and not having Peta around to gawk at. Also you've got to afford his wage and still find one or two pennies to actually get a decent squad together that can bury the pin for him in the monuments (and the rest of the years races!) and get him to the final 200m stage after stage.

Good luck with that!

wow, just to put it in perspective - Steven Pienaar was on 3m pounds a season at tottenham. And he ended up sitting on the bench.

Let's not even go to the other side of the atlantic.

in a peleton your chances of winning are one of 200, and only 1 person can win, on a soccer pitch any one of 22 players can score and there can be more than one scorer per game, and who celebrates like a monkey? i say great, its a huge achievement, celebrate how you want!
