personally i also think riding a 29er is faaar more extreme because you are higher off the ground when you fall thus more dangerous.

what utter rubbish. The bikes geometry is tailored to suit the wheels, perhaps you have just been riding an XL when you should be on a M.

i ride everything on my 29er, i used to ride district roads when i was a beginger but i got bored with that i now ride everything ranging from fast downhills to riding up the most technical of trails such as the emmerentia tree line nothing gives me more of a thrill than riding up the emmerentia tree line. on a day when im feeling confident ill ride it downwards i find it to be a wonderful trail as ive noticed my skill levels grow in leaps and bounds.

@29ur-norman Um. Maybe try some really technical routes before making broad statements dude. cycling up the tree line hardly qualifies as technical.....

please don't give the importers ideas. i still need spares for my 26" v brake

Hehe last of the die hards eh?

I remember the vbrake and disc brake debates, lord knows i was one of the vbrake diehards...its amazing how your mind can be changed by the manufacturers.

Unlike vbrakes i think the 26er as we know it has unfortunately got more chance of dying out. I'm hoping that i'm wrong...again.
