I like the racing with PPA events...this is how I got my wife into cycling.

While I was racing she hit's the short route. It is a win-win situation...the league gives the PPA races a bit more entries than normal.

I do too..and did the same...but there are not enough events on the PPA calendar to use - Only three and those will be used

Just wrt to Klein Joostenberg,

Aren't the routes 88 and 58km respectively?

I know U14's can race up to 60 and U16's to 80 so it shouldn't be a problem.

And at the Tour de Worcester there isn't an U14 cat because the race is over 60km, don't see why the U16's, Juniors, U23's, Elites, Vets, Ladies and Masters shouldn't be able to race because one age group can't?

Unless I'm mistaken about the distances.

As long as these events happen over weekends it is fine...as I work during the week and I am sure most of the others do to. I don't mind the amount of races, I raced STARS last season, basically enetering the racing scene, and I enjoyed it. Moving up to Elites this season as planned, however Red Hill and all these places sounds like a good idea but consider the following, is there enough parking for all the cars? What time duration does it take for a Hill Climb to finish for all the riders? Also people will be travelling from all over CT...Bainskloof sounds cool, but then again, where will everyone park, try explain to cars they can't drive from Ceres via Bainskloof to Wellington, they will need to drive all the way around...and all these things.

They could always have left out the 2 circuit races, but this also makes it fun, as I am sure it will suit a different rider.....same with the 1 hour crit, where it is riding smart that will matter and ofcourse packing your cavendish legs. It is a pity about Cycle Lab withdrawing, but hopefully they will give us prize money then as I wasnt even able to buy a stupid light with my R100 voucher that I had won...

'Dale, looking forward to seeing you race, it has been a long time coming...just get Tiny_K to join me now in Elites.

Yip...easy to slate the Lab but would like to see the other hubbers cycle shops contributing to cycling and racing.

Most other bike shops would rather stick money in their pockets and not contributing to development/cycling in general.

I think Eulogy and the team did a great job!

Yes they did, but it was run as a business, they eared money from doing it, and it wasn't cyclelab sponsoring it... if they didnt make a profit they would pack it in straight away.

The PPA are not making any profit, if anything they are making a loss. They are doing it so that the riders can race.

Guys, we've got 3 road races, a hill climb and 1 or 2 crits.

Why not change 1 of the crits to a proper, flat TT?

Would be cool to have something like that, then there's a nice variety.

Does the league increase your seeding for races such as the Cape Argus ?

Well that depends on your results. When it comes to your seeding index all the races count

Paying over R1000+ entry per rider, then they pay an amount to PPA for the entries...Set out Prize money with vouchers by using funding received....yes, it was all donations from Cycle Lab out their own free will. Eulogy done a great job by managing it all....but doing it out of their own free will....HAHA...there isn't a thing as doing anything out of your own....they in it to make money.

Being a cyclist i am allowed to make the following statement:

Cyclists are possibly the people who bitch the most and judging by the amount of yearly bitching i am surprised that there are people who actually still want to organise events for us..........
