ICE stands for In Case of Emergency and this person will be the one that we notify should take a bad fall. Safety first! We will be stopping frequently along the way. It is a total of +- 40km at an easy pace.Make sure you bring enough liquids and a snack for the stop at Emmarentia. No helmet, no brain. The route is not very technical and it's fairly flat. There are a few climbs but nothing hectic. The ride is for anybody and everybody. Nobody gets left behind and the pace is determined by the slowest part of the group. It's a social gathering of like minded people enjoying a public holiday in the city!We will stop at technical sections and show the other less skilled riders how to approach it and then assist them in doing the section.A bit of a skills clinic as well as a social ride. For a profile and map of the route have a look at http://www.strava.co...nd-back-9444452 Please PM me you cell number, email address and name if you are going. Slowbee Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Is this ride is for the slow and unfit? Will you be able to hand out a few pointers and some tips to the newbies ? Maybe "re -ride" the "technical" bits to help the newbies find their feet ?
DR ◣◢ Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 If up is towards Emmarentia then yes and it is MTB.

DR ◣◢ Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Thanks Slick. We have quite a few road crossings and my primary concern is getting every body across safely. The more people that know the Spruit route, the better. Edited July 31, 2012 by S.I.R Maxxis
