That's pretty.

Hope you have many happy miles.

ps.....please don't clamp the frame like that

Thanks! And I'm clamping it at the dropper now (and careful not to damage anything)

routed all the cables now and the big wait for the wheels and cassette continues....

ok question

why not clamp it on the top tube, it's just about the best place to clamp it from a centre point of weight....

clamping it on the sat tube either got a bad weight balance, or potentially a carbon tube=> bad or dropper seat tube which I'd also not want to.

where would you suggest?

A good bike shop always has a spare beaten up seatpost to pop into a frame with a dropper post when using a bike stand ..... so logic would also dictate that a good DIY wrench would / should also use a old seatpost when working on a bike in the stand.

I know and that's why i have some old alu post to use when i work on a bike with a dropper post.

Seen to many frames damaged from clamping like that

Taking my dropper out is something that I'm not willing to do because that means that I would need to detach the cable from the dropper.

Maybe I need some hooks to hang the frame in instead of clamping it.

not really .... is yours stealth or external?

If external, simply compress your post all the way down ... should then have enough cable slack to be removed without cutting the hosing free from the guides on the frame

It's a KS Lev, so the length of the cable doesn't change when compressed:

Stealth isn't possible on this frame (unless there's a hole somewhere that I'm not aware of ;) )

Damned .... you one of "those guys" riding a Lev :)

I understand your comments now RE removing the post.

"one of those guys".... :D

Well, and now I'm only clamping a LEV 'cause riding is a bit difficult without wheels

Maybe it's a good idea to have a wireless remote dropper.....

Howzit,

So I just finished putting together my first PYGA. I'm super excited about it as I have ridden one before and they are just brilliant. I went with the 650b soft tail and put a 160mm Pike on the front. Damn this fork is so smooth it's amazing! Brakes are Hope stealth race evo x2, 180mm on the front and 160mm on the rear. Reverb dropper post. Crest wheelset(If I break them Ill rebuild them with Arch Ex rims). The drive train I took off my old bike which is XT with Rotor cranks(Saving for XX1). Saddle is a Token carbon XWing and the bars and stem are KCNC(Saving for Easton bars and stem). 80g ESI Grips. I still need to shorten the brake hoses.

This looks like it is going to be such a fun bike to ride coming from a 29er hard tail.
