O'k, so I paid this guy less than R2000 on 16 August via an EFT. He only acknowledged receipt of the cash after I requested it. I was told the goods would be dispatched via courier but they needed my delivery address and not a box number. This was given immediately. I sent another PM asking the status and he replied he would send the stuff on Wednesday with tracking number etc but has had a hectic week and is busy cycling.

Have sent numerous PM but to no avail and I notice he was on line today and has still not replied.

Should I get the "police" involved now or am I impatient?

A PM with an explanation would have been great.

I am very wary wary of having to go through this AGAIN on the Hub.

Hi Sepia,

Sorry to hear about your poor "purchasing" experience.

Maybe you could name the person and you would quickly get some comments/feedback from other hubbers...

Also, you should always atleast make a phone call or two before you commit to paying/purchasing?

Always best to check the members history ,and status. great to see The Hub has this facility as I have found this tool saving me heartache and loss. Still these croanies will always be lurking and waiting to pounce on the unwary.

If you have to ask.... Chances are. Not good

Thanks, I thought so. No phone number available otherwise I would have phoned ages ago Guess it is time to get out the big stick.

Just sick of this k@k. Just do not know if I am too hasty but the common decency thing worries me.

Will name and flame later perhaps he will make contact.

Thanks. Checked him out and there was nothing untoward.

You paid the money. Delivery should take a day or two. Name the person. You may get a response from him. You will also assist orhers to not make the same mistake.

Maybe one more day and then I give my mates a call?

Sorry to hear about your bad experience Sepia. It is douche bags like that who will stuff it up for the rest of us. Post his name and sit back for the flaming.

Yes, I know. Been caught twice now. Will definitely put out a warning after tomorrow. Thanks

One has to extremely wary these days. I was contacted on Saturday by someone wanting to buy an item I have for sale. The guy had never posted on The Hub before and clearly only registered to purchase the item. Yet, he fully expected me to post the item to him with only a 50% payment upfront and then had the cheek to call off the sale because I wouldn't!

Just keep your wits about you!

For some of us working folk, it can be quite difficult to arrange couriers etc... I won't have stuff collected from my work so I need to get it to someone else's place and then arrange a courier at a time convenient to them. This means it often will take me a few days to send stuff - I try to warn ppl up front, but they often still expect/want it sent immediately. This has lead to more than one unhappy customer, but nothing dodgy from me, just that it takes a bit of time and effort to arrange. Hopefully you come right with your purchase, I'm only posting this to show you that it could be a legitimate delay!
