Butter flavour for me pls. But while we on the subject, I was dissapointed a bit when Johann contacted me after I wanted to do the course to let me know he will no longer do the course in CT :(

So my question now is...does anyone offer this in CT?

Somebody has to disagree so I'll be the one. Right up to the point where JB had to cancel at short notice keeping the deposit made sense. At that point people were inconvenienced because they put a weekend aside and I would have refunded deposits.

I still respect his contribution to the hub and I believe you guys that his work is of the highest standard but I don't believe the OP needs to be attacked here.

I get ya dude, but JB did try to accommodate again. Notice the OP requested postponement a number of times, but as soon as JB requested postponement it becomes a hassle for the OP and he cancels.

I think he dodged a bullet by you canceling,I would not want to train you for a weekend. Its R500 bucks. Imagine if he had charged you per hour for his time rescheduling your s***

And the thing is, by the OP's admission JB didn't actually cancel, just requested s postponement due to health. It's the OP who has cancelled the course itself.

Rofl. No, I'm a pie lover. And tbh, I've disagreed with him on a number of occasions, but still respect his knowledge and how he imparts "wisdom" to noobies...

I did suggest to JB that I will attend next year when the schedule becomes available. My point to him regarding the refund was that I can use the R2880 much better over the next 4-6 months than for it to be in someone elses bank account. This is about the time he started ignoring me.

100%

Just that the OP didn't make wild accusations. He stated his case and gave enough info for everybody to respectfully disagree with him so need to for him to be flamed.

Dude, it's a payment for services rendered or course material.

You have your R 2k3, so let it go. Deposit is non-refundable.

Lapa, I am sure you are frustrated by this but I am sure Johan is as frustrated with you changing your mind so many times. Wrt him getting sick, thats just how it goes. If he ran the course while he was sick someone probably would have posted: "Beware Johan Bornman made me sick". In my opinion, if one pays a deposit and then cancels you are lucky to get it back. Actually very lucky. My advice would be to not book for something and pay a deposit if you are not sure you are going to make it. I know one can't plan for everything (Like getting sick) but if you choose to pay a deposit the risk becomes yours. Not the service providers. Might not be how the law etc is, but that is reality.

BTW. Slamming JB or CWC is one of those unwritten laws on the Hub. Don't do it, the guys here doesn't like it.

Are they the mafia? Did they give birth to you? Haha ur statement makes me laugh and shake my head.

Considering Lapa didn't even have the courtesy to pay for his avatar photo. I reckon a pinch of salt is required.

Answer to both the questions are probaly no, but if you start a I hate JB or CWC topic (Or anything close that) you get flamed on the hub. Why? because many guys have had alot of good dealings with them and they have proven track records. The bad experiences are minimal. So if you are looking for a platform to complain about them the Hub is not the place. Thats all I am saying.
